IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT Labial HERPES / COLD SORE.

  • Cold sores, Herpes, is an infection from the HSV-1 virus that can manifest itself on the lips, mouth, or gums.
  • This disease can cause small fires that, when they explode, end up forming a wound.
  • The disease can also cause a lot of discomfort in the region, such as pain and itching.
  • Cold sores are a virus that we all have inside our body, some people never show symptoms and others do and it can be activated for different reasons in some people manifested by emotional problems, others by food, others by stress.
  • All of this is related to the immune system of each person.
  • If the person's immunity is low, the first symptoms are likely to appear.
  • In the case of lip micropigmentation, it can be activated since there is an extra stimulus that the body is not used to regularly, for this reason it can stimulate your immune system and take greater strength if your system is weak, which will end up activating the cold sore.
  • Clients if there are hundreds left that this is a recommendation not to come the herpes, these cold sore hurt a lot and if it takes time to heal, if you do not want to take the medicine there is no problem, but I, Aline Martins, have no responsibility for fires after the procedure.
  • Labial herpes does not come from the anesthesia, pigments or products used in micropigmentation, but from the immunity of each person.

After Care of Lips

Proper care after your semi-permanent lip tattoo is necessary to achieve the best results.

Pre and post care for your front lips will affect how quickly or slowly it heals. Mature age, poor diet, stress, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, age, general health, sleep / fatigue. The more fatigued you are, the weaker your immune system is and the more likely an infection is to occur. Get plenty of rest and drink plenty of water to hydrate before the procedure.

If you are a person who has had cold sores in the past, complete your antiviral medication to prevent an outbreak.

If you are not on medication for the prevention of herpes, if you begin after 3 days of the procedure to feel pain, burning, inflamed any part of the lips, itching, it is a sign that an outbreak is going to begin, go immediately to your doctor to recommend medicine.

Immediately after the procedure, the lips may feel dry, chapped, tight, and tender to the touch.

Apply the antibiotic cream to your lips several times a day. This must be done for at least 10 days after treatment. Do not allow lips to dry out.

While eating, constantly clean your lips, several times a day with antiseptic soap, do not keep licking your lips, as this will impede the healing process.

You can apply an ice pack (to be protected with a wet protective film of paper towel, towel or cloth) for 10 minute intervals during the first 48 hours. Do not put ice directly on the area.

Use sterile bandages or other sterile dressings when necessary.

Expect moderate swelling, usually one to three days after the procedure. Crusting can make the lips feel thick. The lips will fade up to 50% after the first 5 days. While it heals, the tattoo will look patchy. This is due to regeneration and healing of the skin. Two or three sessions may be required to achieve the desired results. Please, be patient. The cosmetic tattoo is a multi-step appointment process with a healing time of approximately 6 weeks between touch-up appointments.

  • Before brushing your teeth, first seal your lips with the cream. Use a small amount of toothpaste.
  • No whitening toothpaste (during the healing process). Do not whiten / whiten your teeth while your lips are healing (about 2 weeks).

  • Do not smoke while the lips are healing (minimum 10 days).
  • Don't kiss, rub or rub your newly tattooed lips until after 10 days or you may lose pigment.
  • Lips can be dry for 3 to 6 months, depending on the body's reaction.
